Wage Slave Rebel is a place where we can explore our purposes apart from what is generally expected of us and learn to ask all the right questions about ourselves. It’s a place where we can learn how to design lifestyles that embody everything we want them to be using only the internet, determination and smart work.
Who, in their almighty wisdom, decided that the best life path for everyone is that which requires consistent and blind adherence to the requests of authoritarian figures — be they teachers, professors or bosses — for almost nothing in return? Why is it that even with empowering and equalizing technological forces like the Internet, most people are still relegated to lives of meager pay and minimal enjoyment?
None of this makes even the slightest bit of sense to me and if you are here reading this it probably doesn’t make any sense to you either.
While third world countries experience material poverty, we in the first world are afflicted with overwhelming spiritual poverty. We have no idea who we are, what we want, where we’re going or why we should go. These are questions we aren’t taught to ask, let alone to answer. We simply jump into the rut everyone else is in and start commiserating. High school, college, marriage, house, kids, job promotion after job promotion after job promotion. We’re led on by the promise of something better, of the life we want, but how can anyone know what we want but ourselves? If we don’t know, who does?
On WSR you’ll learn how to ask all the right questions and figure out who you are and what you want. You’ll learn a lot about how to achieve the lifestyle you want using the internet, freelancing, affiliate marketing, advertising, product creation, blogging, writing, and much more!
