It does all fall together quite a bit, especially when you get into niches, but it’s broken down this way because it represents the commercial evolution of the internet. We moved from a wave of successful efficiency businesses (Yahoo!) to product businesses (Amazon) to niche businesses (ProBlogger, etc.)

I don’t know if I agree with you that Efficiency and Niche are business models though. They both seem like higher level ideas that are part of the problem the business is trying to solve.

Subscription might be one business model 37signals uses to provide efficiency for their clients.

Your Niche sounds more like a product that you market to that Niche. I could start up a subscription based or a strictly ad-supported business and market to that Niche as well.

Efficiency sounds like a problem the business is trying to solve and the Niche would be the area they try to market too.

As for Internet Riches, so far it has been a lot more valuable than Moonlighting on the Internet and I haven’t even finished it yet. Moonlighting is a little more gimmicky and I only really used Part 1 on Digital Product Creation. Internet Riches is less about making money online and more about how to start a business that just happens to be on the internet. To explain what I mean, I’d say Internet Riches is less about selling an ebook and more about launching Facebook. It’s about thinking big.

I’ll probably do a review once I’m finished because it’s a really great book so far.

Sometimes I wonder why they don’t have more elaborate 3D printers so that I can order something on the internet and it can be “printed” out. I could be a millionaire if I knew how to make that.
